Clive Burlton will be presenting a film from 1942. Three hours of rare colour footage has been edited into two 30 minute parts with an added period soundtrack. This film is one of the gems held in the Bristol Archives film collection; Citizens of Bristol at War and shows the work of the emergency services during the Blitz and some of the daily scenes typical of wartime Bristol.
Clive is an author and social historian. He has written four books, co-authored two others and has curated several First World War-related exhibitions. He volunteers at Bristol Archives and has worked with the BBC on radio and television programmes. Clive is also a regular speaker at local history and community groups across Bristol.
Tickets are available on line or on the door. The event starts at 7pm and the bar opens at 6.30pm.
