Bristol has become known for its wonderful range of independent bookshops, based (among others) in Clifton, Henleaze, Southville and Wapping Wharf.

They have proved successful because of close relationships with their communities and individual readers, and have attracted national attention and acclaim. In this session, three booksellers – Heron Books’ Lizzie Moss, Storysmith’s Dan Ross, and Max Minerva’s Sam Taylor – will describe their shops, then talk about 5 or 6 books that mean most to them and their customers. We’ll open the discussion to the audience to offer your own book choices and views on Bristol’s indie bookshops.  Chaired by Helen Taylor.

Tickets are available via Eventbrite (£10) – please use link below or via the library during library opening hours (cash only please) or on a Wednesday morning from 10.30 until 12.30 (or until 4pm on Wednesday matinee days).  On a Wednesday, card payments can be taken.
