No one filmed wildlife like Johnny Kingdom. With no media training, no academic knowledge and only a small hand held video camera Johnny was a ‘one off’.
He broke all the rules of wildlife film making but he knew his beloved Exmoor like the back of his hand and produced some of the most beautiful and ‘real’ wild life moments seen on television. David Parker produced many of his programmes for ITV and the BBC and worked with him until Johnny’s untimely death five years ago.
Using the very best clips from some of the programmes they made together, David will recount the life and times of this unique character and reflect on what made him so special.
This event takes place in the Crypt at Christ Church and tickets are available via Eventbrite – please use link below or via the library during library opening hours (cash only please) or on a Wednesday morning from 10.30 until 12.30 (or until 4pm on Wednesday matinee days). On a Wednesday, card payments can be taken.
