Writing the Landscape. Tuesday 26th September Talk 7pm. Bar from 6.30pm The well-known Thomas Hardy and the little known Dorothy Hartley, two astonishing writers who drew inspiration from the landscapes in which they lived to wonderful effect were the subject of two films produced by David for the BBC. We’ll explore the differing styles adopted in making the two programmes as well what the films tell us about these two astonishing observers of life in England and Wales.
