STORY SATURDAY – 7TH MARCH 2020
Doors open 7.00, stories start at 7.30
Ticket £5 on the door or in advance from Eventbrite
Story Saturday comes back to Clifton Library in March, with some brand new stories! Writer-performer Clare Reddaway of A Word In Your Ear teams up with fellow authors to bring you a medley of their favourite tales. Story Saturday is an offshoot of well-loved Bath event Story Friday, and has already gained its own loyal audience. Story Saturday promises an engrossing evening of warmth, drama and laughter.
For Story Saturday in March, we’ll have three different short story writers. Clare Reddaway is an award-winning writer who has read her stories to wide variety of audiences across the south-west. For this Story Saturday, Clare welcomes Stephanie Weston and Steve Tuffin. A local writer and actor who is also Artistic Director of the Bristol-based comedy improvisation company, Instant Wit, Stephanie Weston is a veteran performer at Story Saturday and Story Friday. Steve Tuffin joins us from Swindon. Steve writes working class stories and is a lecturer in Creative Writing for the Open University. His stories are surreal and punchy and often very funny.
What our audience thinks:
‘Enthralling’, ‘The stories were good – often funny, and well told’, ‘Fascinating’, ‘Great way to spend an evening!’, ‘I’ll certainly come again!’, ‘I’d never been to one of these story readings before and it was …great!’
