Clifton Village LitFest
Jon Cruddas
Sat 16th Nov 2024 3.00pm Christ Church, Crypt

'A Century of Labour' explores that history from its dizzying beginnings in 1924 through to, almost, the present day. In that time it has held power for only 33 years and until this year only three of its leaders managed to win a majority in a general election. Why has Labour underperformed? Why has the party so often struggled to win and hold on to power? And how does delving into its history help understand how its future might unfold?
Tickets are £12 and available via Eventbrite using the link below or in person at the library during opening hours – cash only. Tickets will also be available outside library opening hours, in the library, on a Wednesday morning 10.30 – 12.30 where card payments will also be accepted.
