Moederland is seen through the deeply personal lens of a great-grand-daughter of South African Prime Minister Jan Smuts, the world statesman who wrote legislation which enabled apartheid. Following a short reading from Moederland, Cato Pedder will discuss themes including women's lives, racism, and colonialism as explored in the book.
Tickets are £12 and available via Eventbrite using the link below or in person at the library during opening hours – cash only. Tickets will also be available outside library opening hours, in the library, on a Wednesday morning 10.30 – 12.30 when card payments will also be accepted.
