Film screening - 'For Those in Peril’
‘And that’s when things got a bit rough because I knew I was the one who was going to have to go into that hold to rescue the two men trapped.’ The words of RAF winch man Eric Smith who won the George Medal for his bravery at sea. Eric's is just one the many voices in the award-winning programme produced by David Parker that tells the story of the life-saving work of the rescue services including, in its bi-centenary year, the RNLI. A gripping and life-affirming film about the people who put their own lives at risk to come to the aid of those in peril from the sea.
Tickets are £12 and available via Eventbrite using the link below or in person at the library during opening hours – cash only. Tickets will also be available outside library opening hours, in the library, on a Wednesday morning 10.30 – 12.30 when card payments will also be accepted.
