2024 has been a year of commemoration of the allied battles on the Western Front, notably D Day and the invasion of Normandy. Jonathan’s work is a timely reminder of the brutal war raging at the same time from the Baltic to The Black Sea, and which led to the crucial defeat of the German army, the Wehrmacht.
