Clifton Village LitFest
Ben Garrod
Sun 17th Nov 2024 11.00am Clifton High School, Rose Theatre

Professor Ben Garrod, a popular broadcaster and prolific author, has recently launched his first fiction series: four stories about his dog Jack, entitled The Adventures of a Dog called Jack-Jack. The first volume is Jack-Jack, A Dog in Africa (2024).
As Ben says: ‘It’s the best job in the world when you get to write about your best mate. When he happens to be a snake-wrangling, chimp-wrestling, snack-loving dog, it doesn’t feel like work at all. I first met Jack-Jack while I was filming in West Africa and, in what can only be described as the ultimate human/animal bromance, we both decided he would come and live with me in the UK. We’ve been on so many adventures together, it just seemed right we’d share them with young readers too.’

Tickets are £12 and available via Eventbrite using the link below or in person at the library during opening hours – cash only. Children are free but must have a ticket - these need to be booked at time of purchase. A maximum of three child tickets per adult. Tickets will also be available outside library opening hours, in the library, on a Wednesday morning 10.30 – 12.30 when card payments will also be accepted.
